There is enough here to keep you occupied for a week!! If staying for two weeks, just start at the beginning again, everything here is good enough to do twice!!!!DAY 1. Day trip on Skye (early start). Drive, to explore Portree the capital of Skye. Then head North to the Storr (walk optional). Drive over the Quirang road and down to discover the 'Fairy Glen". Then on to Dunvegan Castle, then on to visit the Talisker Distillery, after the whisky tour, down to Glen Brittle at the base of the Cuillins. Home via
Sligachan then Kyle. DAY 2. Day trip to Plockton, walk around this picturesque village before the superb drive to Lochcarron, don't forget your camera! From Lochcarron you make your way up the old cattle drove road a height of 2053ft.. to Applecross village (established in 673 AD) DAY 3. Falls of Glomach - a 6 hr walk into this spectacular water fall, which drops 600 ft, best after a little rain. Look out for deer and golden eagles (waterproofs and sturdy footwear essential) or do the less strenuous Balmacara woodland walks then on to Glenelg to see the Iron age Brochs (ancient fortified buildings) stopping off at the famous Eilean donan castle on the way, well worth a visit. Possible to return via the Kylerhea ferry at Glenelg. DAY 4. No trip to Lochalsh is complete without a trip on the award winning Seaprobe Atlantis a truly amazing  semi-submersible glass bottom boat. Knowledgeable wildlife guides take you on a tour of the Loch to see Seals, Otters, Seabirds, Occassional Whales & Dolphins and of course the underwater kelp forests, teeming with fish, star fish, sea urchins, jellyfish and crabs. Tickets available from the Seaprobe Atlantis ticket office in the main car park. After your cruise, drive down to Eilean Donan Castle, the most photographed castle in Scotland, a visit to the castle will keep you occupied for several hours. After the castle head towards Glenelg to visit the amazing Iron Age Brochs (fortified buildings from 1,500 yrs ago), Cross the Kylerhea ferry and make your way to the Forestry Commission wildlife hides, where you can watch the wild world go by.
